Pay Disputes (Gender Discrimination) - Gender Discrimination in pay in relation to a contract of employment is unlawful under the Equal Pay Act of 1970. Pay discrimination usually revolves around salary, bonus payments and benefits. If two people of different genders do the same work or perform the same job role or do work that is considered of equal value, they must be paid the same. If you think you are adversely affected by this RSR Law can help.

Disciplinary / Grievance Hearings - It is not usually possible to have a solicitor in attendance at grievance / disciplinary hearings. Wherever possible, you should always try to exhaust the disciplinary / grievance procedures before looking to pursue and employment claim. If you feel you have exhausted this avenue then you should give us a call for a free case evaluation.

Compromise Agreement - A compromise agreement (also known as a settlement agreement) is a document drawn up by an employer when it is mutually agreed that a contract of employment should be terminated.

The compromise agreement will detail such items as redundancy payments, unpaid wages, bonuses, pay in lieu of notice and holiday pay. Compromise agreements may also be drawn up as part of a dispute resolution or to settle an Employment Tribunal claim. It is a legally binding document that both sides have to agree and adhere to and must be independently verified by a solicitor on behalf of the employee.

It is usual that the employer will pay for this in part or in full, if you have any questions including how to fund your case then contact us for a FREE consultation. RSR Law can assist in considering, advising on and finalising compromise agreements.

Mediation - This is invaluable when a claim against an employer is made whilst the client is still employed and when both sides want to maintain a working relationship. We can provide representation for you in the mediation process.

Tribunal - We can even give you the legal assistance you need at the tribunal hearing, including arranging a Barrister to represent you.

Funding Your Case^

Whilst our initial advice on whether or not you have a claim is free, if you retain RSR Law to handle your claim there are a number of options available to fund it. If you have any questions on funding your case then please contact us.

Legal Expense Insurance - Legal expense insurance may be available to cover some or all of your legal costs. This type of insurance may come as an add on with your household insurance or through your bank or credit card provider. In the first instance, RSR Law will contact any insurer who provide such cover to ensure that it can be used with your claim.

No Win No Fee - In the event that no legal expense insurance is available to be used with your claim, where appropriate, we will process your case under a no win, no fee agreement. This means that you will only pay for our services in the event that your claim is successful. In the event that you win your claim and are awarded compensation either by a Tribunal, through mediation or negotiation, we get paid an agreed percentage out of your damages. We will assess your claim for FREE in an initial consultation and advise whether it is suitable for a no win no fee agreement before any work is carried out.

Other Funding Options - If it is not possible to enter into a No Win No fee agreement other funding options can be explored. All funding options will be explained in full by the Solicitor handling your claim prior to entering into any agreement.

Funding a Compromise / Settlement Agreement - It is usual that the employer will pay the expenses for this in full or in part. We offer a free consultation, so if you have any questions please contact us directly.
